| This pilot school improved significantly within virtually all categories of the State Standardized Test results for the 2010-2011 school year. These were by as much as 12% in a single category. This school also lead the entire district in the first time pass rate on both Math and ELA for the High School Exit Exam - at a 78% pass rate. Overall API increased by 21 points for the year as well. This was in a single school year! All evidence upon request. This is a Title 1 school in an impoverished area. KEY: What this proves is that we can greatly lessen our drop-out rates, yet still meet AYP goals, helping to raise API in its' various categories. Using this program, we don't need to ignore our "difficult" youth to maintain and rise in these areas. They will follow this program - we have proved this to work well, past expectations... This happens because of the campus culture that we create. This ALSO leads to tremendous increases in both ADA/FTE funding, as well as NCLB (Title 3 for ELL's) funding. |
